Resilience no longer means “adapt and overcome”. It is empowering people to talk about what they need from others and themselves to weather change and move forward. Learn how to build a strong sense of self so you can practice healthy behaviors that get you out of the cycle of daily “crisis management”.
In this interactive class we will begin by exploring the definition of what it means to be resilient. Moving from society’s outdated message of “adapt and overcome” to empowering people to talk about what they need from others and themselves to weather change and move forward. Telling people to be resilient will not solve the problem. Instead we need to show people how to build a strong sense of self so they can practice healthy behaviors that help them strengthen their “resiliency muscle.”
Each participant will build a plan that is not only actionable but is sustainable and holds one accountable. This plan will refocus the mindset, build in self-care, and provide individualized strategies for how to handle triggers when they do surface. Everyone will have a clearer sense of who they are, what their triggers are, and what things they need present to live a life filled with contentment and hope.
